I’m in love with the section of this song from 3:00-4:12. especially the bit from 3:45 on

Ylva’s parents are still alive, but she hasn’t spoken to them in years. They taught her to work hard in service to those above her. The first part she still believes in, and the second she was burned by so bad that her chosen recourse was to make sure she’s always the one above everyone else. So uhh

Ahtza is in the same boat as Tarry - she remembers only a little about the neglectful home she spent the first few years of her life in. She just kind of up and left one day and nobody came looking for her.
