"The Art of Heraldry" by Fox-Davies is basically a remix translation of "Heraldischer Atlas". As far as I know he didn't illustrate any of it and only certain sections where written by him.

For a bit of clarifications, the illustrations weren't done by Fox-Davies, he just published the aforementioned book.
The top illustration is originally from a book called "Iconographie générale et méthodique du costume". The bottom one is afaik originally from Heraldischer Atlas by Ströhl.

The Rankin-Bass Hobbit (1977) had the right vibes. Needed a better script and longer runtime tho.

I don't know if it's just the natural result of growing up, or if it's because of smartphones, or whatever, but I missed this. When I was a teen I would sometimes devour a 400 page novel in three days.
