as a project wears on, standards for success slip lower and lower. okay, i should be able to dual-boot bsd soon. 6 hours: i’ll be happy if i can get the system working like it was when i started. 10 hours: well, the desktop’s a lost cause, but i think i can fix the problems the laptop’s developed. 24 hours: if we’re lucky, the sharks will stay away until we reach shallow water. if we make it back alive, you’re never upgrading anything again.

Mamiya/Sekor DTL cameras. the light meter on mine is phenomenally accurate + spot and center metering, M42 mount with no compatibility issues (which i've had on some Prakticas or a Pentax ESII), fantastic build quality, large, bright viewfinder. the 50/2 lens that came with mine is also amazing

EMD GM6C, a one-off electric locomotive built during the 1970s oil crisis. it's a SD40-2T looking locomotive with a cutout above the cab to hold two Faiveley pantographs, with a power outout of 6000 horsepower a GM10B, similar as the GM6C except in a B-B-B layout and delivering 10000 horsepower

there's still only two tram types that were around in 2008 and one of them is in a different consist
a KT8D5 RN2P shot from its left side, it's a three-part high capacity bidirectional tram with a middle low floor section two T3R.PV trams coupled together, in 2008 these would be new and coupled together with a high floor T3R.P tram as the second car in a consist. the last high floor cars were taken out of service earlier this year

the thing about translations is that they don’t have to be spot on accurate, they have to make sense
windows settings complaining in czech that there is no copilot key assigned in windows, but the key has been translated as the door key and not the keyboard key, which are two separate windows in czech. this could lead someone to think there is a separate copilot access token available (i did think this)
