you have to be a genuine fucking idiot to believe this. there is no plausible genetic mechanism for this, especially if you go looking for "IQ" genes. there are a few genes which if you turn them off make humans gravely intellectually disabled. other than that it's a million point mutations.

its also silly to complain about tolkiens plate tectonics bc plate tectonics was discovered after lotr was published. continental drift had been discarded until like the 1960s bc wegener didn’t have a plausible mechanism for his theory
only huge dorks complain about tolkein's unrealistic plate tectonics. yes mordor is shaped like a bigass square but maybe thats because mordor's mountains were not formed the way mountain ranges in our world are

honestly the other angle you could go with the orcs is kind of a disability one? the idea of the "mongoloid," the way 19th century race science and the stereotypes in the society tolkien grew up in associated intelligence and criminality and class.

this seems inarguably correct to me. it's not an unsolvable problem. but it is a difficult problem, and one that requires a fair degree of creativity to tackle, and doesn't particularly reward centrist (or any other) ideological grievances
the democratic party’s basic problem is it has almost no control over how its message reaches the ears of voters, especially outside of presidential election years. but rather than devote serious time, attention and cash to that problem its consultants and pundits want to fight factional battles
