I’ve been using procreate for 6-7 years now exclusively as my digital drawing program and it’s been perfect for me because it’s SO minimalist. but yeah, i def feel the same way about the gradient maps……hahahahha

NO HATE :) just observing and thinking about what I want and need from art programs since we rely on digital tools so much

Not talking about things that obv make things easier, like utilizing 3D models (I just discovered how much this speeds up my workflow), and not talking about suffering being a prerequisite, but I feel like there has to be some degree of frustration/tension between you + the medium

I feel like such a CSP luddite because I look at all the features and it seems like the more micro decisions you can make within the UI/UX of a program leads to decision paralysis. the necessary friction that I feel is where the joy comes from is diminished
