First, the harms from perpetuating the use of these models, especially the ones provided by rapacious corporations. I also think that the use of these models will only grow once introduced internally, leading to higher likelihood of errors.

If I gave the impression that I was defending their use of generative code yesterday, I sincerely apologize. I was focused on the aspect of limiting outside harm, but that does not excuse its internal adoption.

It's quite another to accept the intrinsic harms of the technology yourself. That's the path chosen here, and I can't in good conscience go along with it. I too will be moving on from KeePassXC.

And indeed, the wholehearted embrace of the technology is quite alarming. It's one thing to figure out how to mitigate the harm from others potentially using generative code.

Everyone should do what they feel is necessary of course, but as I've warned before, if you constantly demand moral purity of all you work with—including your tools and their creators—you will spend much less time fighting true evil.

I would hope, at the very least, that the `README.md` for the repo is updated to make clear that not only must generative code be disclosed, but that such code is contributed already by core maintainers.
