Our family loved Vaesen! Investigating hidden magic and creatures from Nordic folklore at the dawn of industrialization. Includes mechanics for building a home base, which is a great hub for campaign play. Year Zero Engine is a medium complexity dice pool system--rolling tons of d6 is satisfying!

Next week I'm doing a live play and analysis of Darkest Dungeon in my game systems class. I'll be playing it this weekend to remind myself that I used to be good at it. If only Galaga had systems!
