Many supporters recently donated items from our Amazon & Chewy wishlists, and we want to thank you for the joy you brought the sanctuary residents 😊 Little Foot was elated by the donated pheasant scent in particular! We sprinkled this unique enrichment on sticks and tossed them into her enclosure.

A longtime Wolf Haven volunteer recently brought catnip for enrichment for all of the sanctuary residents, and male wolfdog Mesa was immediately drawn to the intoxicating scent. Fresh herbs are one of the animals’ favorite enrichments to receive #wolfsanctuary #enrichment #summer #catnip #smelly

#MontanaMonday Yesterday we gave out colored, hard-boiled Easter eggs to all the wolves at the ranch. Male McCleery wolf, Thing One, rolled his egg into a hole and couldn’t quite figure out how to retrieve it. He might be beautiful, but he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed 😜

American Red wolves M2151 (Jasper) and F2215 (Carmin) have visual barriers surrounding their enclosure, so they are mostly monitored via remote camera to maintain their natural wariness of humans. This means we have lots of great footage, and we even recently recorded a cute head flip from Jasper!

My sister was working a ranch this summer and a horse had a tooth problem and kept fussing with it. She brought the horse to a vet dentist and they asked where they got the horse, she said it was a present from the owner. Dentist was disappointed. Said “Sorry, I can’t look a gift horse in the mouth”
