I'm struggling as a teacher to meet this moment's demand for media literacy skills. In the face of rising authoritarianism, sources we once considered at least mostly reliable are now the complete opposite. Meanwhile, my students get all their info from AI TikToks. What do? 😭

The open secret that Thomas King is not Indigenous at all is finally verified, and honestly it's a relief. Having him just confess this instead of going out kicking and screaming like so many before him causes a LOT less harm to Indigenous communities.

I did a thread a few weeks ago of "authors link your stuff" & one of my author friends who is one emergency away from being homeless had a massive spike in downloads on Anna's Archive from people *who follow me* complaining about how they are poor & should be allowed to steal from other poor people

There need to be social consequences for enacting anti-evidence policies that kill kids.
