Trump is giving another $12 billion of taxpayer money to bail out farmers again from his disastrous policies. Just like he had to bail them out in his first term from his disastrous policies. But they will continue to vote Republican, as long as they keep getting their welfare checks.

Rep. Adelita Grijalva was pepper-sprayed by ICE agents during a raid last week.

Remember: ICE is getting $170B in new funding from Trump's Big Ugly Bill and lowering its hiring standards.

If Trump's thugs can do this to a member of Congress, they can do it to you.

I was thinking about this the other day as I scoured Google for an app to track my cycle without having a period. We lost a lot of recipes when good women had to go into hiding and hide their knowledge because a bunch of men couldn't handle smart women and shamed us for discussing our own bodies. 🫩
If they hadn’t burned all the witches and midwives back in the day, we’d probably know more about perimenopause and menopause right now. We know fuck all about a condition that half the population goes through because men are a bunch of plonkers*

It wasn't all about walking. To sustain the yearlong boycott, they built a massive organized carpool system with 40 pickup stations around the city; at their peak, they were giving 15,000 rides a day. The police harassed them. Politicians and commentators called them disruptive. But they persisted.

Most discussions about “misinformation” treat the problem as if people simply don’t have good enough critical-thinking skills. It sounds intuitive, but it’s not entirely accurate. The problem isn’t just individual ignorance, it’s the structure of the information environment people are placed into.
