They applied it to my 2025 taxes. I had to call the find out what happened and was told I had to write a letter requesting it be applied to 2024. They put a hold on my account so they could process They change. They cannot move the money. It has to go to the service center for correction. Stupid.

I tried contacting the IRS, by phone (on hold 1.5 hrs.), by chat (it timed out after 13 minutes, and I checked my account online to see if they recorded my (nothing). I'll try apaymentgain tomorrow, but the IRS is seriously a fucking mess right now. It's got me stressing. 🧵
