This elderly man showed up to support an anti-trans bill in my home state and then, because he had to wait hours to testify, he was stuck listening to queer folks rally against it

By the time it was his turn to speak, he'd changed his mind

Never doubt that speaking out can change hearts and minds
Wisconsin man who showed up to support an anti-trans bill does something amazing - Queerty

Having had just a little bit of interaction with other countries' postal systems I can say with confidence that — even under deJoy — USPS gives excellent service for what it costs us and we honestly should shovel more money at it
Learning recently I’m much more fond of government agencies than many folks in the US (many serve communities and employ my colleagues!)

But I’m especially fond of the USPS. I can send and receive little gifts across the vast country! I chat with the mailperson! Stamps are so cool!

NEW: On Section 504. "Attacks on any one group will be used as a wedge to attack all of us. You may not personally know any trans people, and you may even be uncomfortable with the idea ... but letting this attack go forward will eventually hurt you and the things you love, too." /1
Why are Republican states trying to overturn a pillar of disability rights?
They may not be successful in repealing Section 504 as part of the attack on treating gender dysphoria, but it begs the question of what they might come for next.

Since federal health information is getting harder to come by, I thought I'd share this new resource. Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine launched an online Avian Flu Resource Center--a one-stop clearinghouse for trustworthy information on bird flu.

This week we remember the unjust incarceration of Japanese Americans who were sent to detention camps across the country during WWII, based solely on their heritage. History shows that locking up people in massive camps will not make us safer—no matter what the Trump administration claims.

Did you know that (according to the 1431 trial record) Joan of Arc was not initially sentence to death as long as she did not relapse (return to wearing men's clothing)? It was only when she did that she was deemed a heretic and burned.

Feels like one of the biggest problem of our time is that we’re so well connected digitally, but feel more disconnected than ever, and we have access to more and more information but are less and less well informed.

American soldiers physically tortured and murdered Japanese Americans in these camps. Their money, homes, businesses, and wealth were stolen.
