I'm too lazy to make a new profile so here's my old one: Hot cocoa zealot. Occasional funny man. I've been told I make a mean calzone. Might be a sports fan, but the jury is still out.
Scripps announced a deal with Major League Volleyball yesterday and expect them to be more active in acquiring more sports properties going forward based on quotes from their earnings call.

Folks, I get the feeling that Franklin winning A natty would've not been good enough for some people at Penn State. We're a decade plus removed and the #culture still permeates.

Here's a look at FOX's Saturday primetime gimmick. From what I can gather, the Arkansas-Michigan State game on Nov. 8 is the earliest a major broadcast network has aired a college basketball game ever in a regular season. FOX is dedicating two Saturday nights in Nov. for hoops.

I believe this is the full FOX College Hoops Friday (excluding Black Friday games) regular season lineup for the season. FOX will air the Mountain West football championship on Dec. 5 and the Holiday Bowl on Jan. 2. No game scheduled for Jan. 9, night of the second CFP semifinal.

A situation where both answers are technically correct, but the real answer is money (along with those things).

Mariners-Tigers Game 3 did just over 1M viewers on FS2 per PI. When was the last time FS2/Fuel TV had a program that did that- if ever?

Looking at some of the CBO slides from the last couple weeks and it's disappointing that Detroit City FC projects 1500 average attendance for their women's team. I know it's basically a collegiate summer league, but support isn't really catching on like some expected.

In a story about supporter dissent with the club, the club saying supporters are the reason why they're seeking tax abatements for their project is high level gaslighting. Nasty work.

(supporters sitting at mid field is not the reason why DCFC is seeking tax breaks)

I definitely see why the NBA quickly gave the green light to NBC's "On the Bench" idea (via SBJ)

The Texas A&M-TCU women's volleyball match used the BTN scorebug on FS1 Tuesday night. I believe this is the first instance the bug has been used outside of BTN or a BTN produced event (the UCLA-Utah women's gym meet on FOX in March used the bug, but was produced by a BTN crew).

Of course, I know that won't happen because of shit like this.

While some people still fret about viewership numbers for the likes of the NWSL and other women's sports properties, this is why I don't for now: networks understand it's growth plays that have the backing of advertisers. That's why the CW is taking on Pac-12 WBB. (via SBJ)

Alright Michigan Panthers/UFL fans, here's the bone of hope being thrown out to y'all. DCFC CEO Sean Mann on WDIV today discussing the stadium, and for the first time in a bigger public forum, outright acknowledging talks with entities, including "pro events" using the stadium.

Ah, I'll just lay out the deets from the piece. The proposal is extremely preliminary, but it entails turning the DPW yard into mixed use commercial residential on top of space for a potential Amtrak station & transit hub and parking deck next to Michigan Central.
