She/her, trans rights are human rights. Legal academic, D&D fanatic. Things I coherently honk about: Brexit & NI, Title IX, sovereignty. President of the Judge Ana Reyes Fanclub. See http://sylviademars.me
Alas - true for those of us over there in RG land but far from universal. As ever, some of us are definitely valued more by the government than others and/or the lobbying machine did its thing....
Flat fee or percentage levy divides universities ahead of budget
Last-ditch attempts to minimise harm of incoming tax on international student fees splits sector, as research intensive universities set to save millions but post-92s would pay more

I feel like as EU people in the UK, we were doing "no really it easily could have been even worse, even though it's already awful, so let's do a relieved sigh" well before it was cool and universal. 😉

Are you new to this existence, Simon?! That's where we are with everything these days, at best! 🫠

I didn't look at this website for 3 weeks and was less outraged at everything during that time! Lessons to be learned, I think. Hmmmm.

I should clarify the first lectureship isn't ONLY open to EU law people but I would also be lying if I acted like I am not secretly hoping for EU law people to create more critical mass in Brexit adjacent stuff!

But yeah sure, we also welcome family, contract, employment, evidence etc!!!

My experience of being in a trade union is that well over 80% of its membership don't even care to vote on union stuff, let alone something even more distantly removed. Thinking of them as members of the Labour party because they disinterestedly signed up for vague workplace "insurance" is insane.

Thanks - was just making a joke about how everything he touches just sort of melts into sludge but good to see the actual poll!
