the uncanny thing is that as one of the artists whose work was seized for "AI training" without my consent, and as a lifetime professional illustrator, I can spot art figurative art instantly. Tone-deaf, I can't do the same with music, and don't expect non-illustrators to see AI this way.

Truly, what we need in Germany is not just for the medications to be covered, but for doctors to know them and prescribe them. Valtrex helps me a lot, but our hausarzt only prescribes acyclovir.

anyway, if anyone is looking for a way to help out, the HK red cross is accepting donations for emergency relief! hundreds and hundreds of people will be staying in shelters and relying on orgs for meals. there are smaller local funds, too which i will link below.

I understand that so deeply, as one of my best beloveds is a single mother who shares custody. Protecting kids in school and with multiple carers who aren't covid cautious is basically more or less impossible, as you said. It is devastating to witness.

This is why, as a person with the privilege, resources and discipline to do so, I mask everywhere outside our flat. For almost six years now my life has shrunk, my life's work ended, I have not left Berlin. But I have managed not to be infected with anything but the disease I already had, ME/CFS.

I agree. I find the action inappropriate for multiple reasons. Yes, we are dying. Many people with ME have died this year. But this is not the way to represent it or the way to get treatments we need.
