I got up for just a minute and my seat warmers were activated into position

Patiently waiting for me to finish a job before we go for our morning walk

Someone is feeling very sorry for themselves. He just got the snip. Crumbs…. By golly by gosh it’s now a very expensive procedure. I shall now have a lean December🤨
I envisage a puppy boom of unwanted dogs just due to how prohibitively expensive vets have become for so many

A song thrush sings from a top the highest larch tree to welcome this morning’s sun

The moon is that bright tonight, just before midnight, it’s almost as bright as day

This is Inca and I enjoying my sister’s useful cozy black waistcoat Christmas present early. She said I could put it to good use before the actual day.

Sometimes it’s not about the size but who’s the boss.
Tiny dog gets big bed.
Huge dog get small bed.

I found this worm laboriously crossing our drive. I decided to help him get to the other side.
I’ve no idea why he felt the need to travel cross such an exposed area. Plenty of birds would’ve delighted in eating him. He might’ve crossed uphill because there’s been so much rain

It’s nearly the end of November and I’ve large and very small micro moths looking through my window

This 6am morning’s night sky was crystal clear. Not even slight scrim of cloud wisped across bright stars. I was struck by the continuous stream of satellites, none stop consistently spaced line that crossed the big dipper/plough constellation. I counted 15 as I walked&dogs romped

Working away quietly on my vine house walkway when the heavens open, rain & hail pummel the roof. All dogs want to come inside, even a most reluctant Java seeks shelter.

Cat Ovenmitt gives pupper Java a bath. Cozy next to Aga as chilly November rain starts to fall.
This is not AI but real farm life, a cat and dog’s companionable relationship

A woodland photo for you

Fascinated by these strange mushrooms growing in this location. They’re actually very beautiful in a lacy sort of way.

Last walk before bed.
Dogs raced off barking after a lingering musky fox trail up the garden&into woods.
Cold north winds blow, rustling the last leaves that still cling to their trees.
Stars glitter in a moonless sky. A star falls then another the annual Leonids meteor shower

A stunningly beautiful Japanese maple autumnal colours glow in our woodland. I planted earlier this year but didn’t realise it had such amazing colour when its leaves dies back for winter

Simple pleasures:
It’s 4:30 on a November Sunday afternoon, outside temperatures are dropping. This calls for a Bailey’s hot chocolate, a comfortable chair, cozying up to the Aga with a good book and a pile of dogs on my lap.

Yesterday was all about flooding and rainbows

Beech tree autumnal colours are so beautiful with Zwartbles sheep black fleeces.
Pupper Inca perfectly poses amongst her flock.

My dogs are very bored!!!
I’m sitting at the kitchen table stuffing lots of calendars into envelopes, addressing them to be posted all over the world.

The moon looks toward dawn over trees and bamboo, it’s light soon to diminish in sunlight

Sadly nearly finished it.
