Something that's been haunting me: I made a heavy feature auto-turn off after a bit, so that if you forget to close the tool, it doesn't eat CPU for nothing. When I presented the countdown, the co-worker was confused why I would need optimization for a local machine, where "it doesn't matter".

What I did not find when I posted this, was that this is actually a global issue, and not Steam hating me personally, which is reassuring. Managed to manually download most of those mods via 3rd party, so I got to play with them a bit, tonight. :)

#PokémonLegendsZA Despite the battle being real time, the game is quite slow. Like, battle is "blink and you lose", and collecting ground items is seamless, but the rest... Poké Center is still the same, the ball collector has 10 lines and animation, Z-A battle ends and day-night cycles linger...

This. Are people intentionally trying to overlook this? If you could make a TTS from scratch with only pennies' worth of recording and not the gigantic stolen records, and make it sound even a little bit convincing, everybody would be doing.

Yeah... I've been dragging my feet about it, but I gotta get my shit together and accelerate the process.

I've spent days, including all today, working on a tool that a co-worker requested. As I show them the latest version, they had the fucking *gall* to ask if I used gen AI to do it. Brains getting cooked by those workshops in real time.
