Lowe specifically says those are "foolish posts" but that the content prosecuted (he pleaded guilty) should not the business of the police

The BBC has a very unsupportive government source

Allies warning against contest, rather than saying the contest is on
November 11, 2025 at 11:45 PM
If the leader wants to contest a challenge, they don't need nominations. Though challenger needs 30% of MPs
November 11, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Yes (if he ran, as they say he will, which seems unlikely). The first challenger needs 30% of MPs
November 11, 2025 at 11:32 PM
"Starmer loyalists believe there could be a 5 candidate contest"

The real world maximum number is now 4 candidates on the ballot, since threshold is now 20% of MPs (not 10%). You can't get an exact 5 way split in reality & won't get 100% of them to nominate
November 11, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Will clearly be loads of speculation between now and May. Warning against the instability/risks of *having a contest* obvs makes sense for supporters.

- Saying there is already now a contest ???
- declaring he will definitely be a candidate "when it cones" -???
(Nobidy knows. He prob wouldn't be?)

An ally said "Keir knows he is already fighting a leadership contest" seems a daft/weird line to me

Rupert Lowe is very soft on crime - if those crimes are committed by members of an in-group (those members of the majority group, who express violent prejudices against Muslims, minorities or migrants, and who incite lawless disorder against Muslims *and* those who oppose violence against Muslims)
November 11, 2025 at 7:55 PM
"Today was a terror attack by a Muslim ... heads must roll" (July 29th)

"Leave your phones at home, wear balaclavas, plain clothes and nothing to identify you by. Use cash”

"give them hell lads"

"Starmer has basically said its us against them. Hold the line."

Rupert Lowe has invited Wayne O'Rourke to parliament

O'Rourke pleaded guilty to stirring up race hatred, after calling for people to go on the streets, burn cars, to attack mosques + the "traitors" defending Muslims

Judge "You were not caught up in what others were doing, you were instigating it"
November 11, 2025 at 5:54 PM
Wayne O'Rourke was released around October 23rd

X left the tweets online for the 14 months he was in prison

His account was active on November 7th; deactivated on November 10th. A friend says voluntarily.

Some accounts claim he has a social media ban as part of his release conditions.

Gibb was appointed for a three year term from May 2021 - May 2024. He was then reappointed for a four year extension by the Sunak government in March 2024, shortly before the General Election

Kemi Badenoch says she "actually believes in the institution" of the BBC while "trying to save the BBC from itself"

That first bit may be the most pro-BBC thing she has said (!)
November 10, 2025 at 11:25 PM
The Johnson government of 2019-22 appears to be much the most partisan post-war government in its approach to BBC governance and the BBC executive, alongside Thatcher's appointment of Marmaduke Hussey as chair to fire Alasdair Milne in 1986-87 (though that was 7 years into her term)
November 10, 2025 at 11:17 PM
The direct analogy would be appointing a figure like Peter Mandelson or Alastair Campbell to the BBC board - and having Mandelson intervene in staff appointments on the grounds of affecting the Labour government's "fragile trust" in the BBC. (Gibb's attempts to block this appointment failed)

In America Trump's approval dropped v sharply after the 2021 January 6th riots - because of the combination of his election denial and the violent insurgency by his supporters.

It did not drop at all in Oct 2024, when UK documentary spliced an edit together
November 10, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Trump approval in Britain - very negative - rises sharply if briefly shortly after the Panorama programme

This has nothing to do with the Panorama programme. It is a brief Winner's Bonus from getting re-elected, later diminished by his madness in office

The damages claim is a mad hoax
