Time once again to rep my favorite place for giving: anelder.org - they supply food, firewood and supplies for traditional crafting to Navajo Elders. If you have the cash, please give these folks a hand.

BLACK FRIDAY SALE!!

hi, this weekend for no reason at all we will be donating 10% of our sales to Twin Cities Trans Mutual Aid 🏳️‍⚧️ Think of it as a sale but instead of you getting a discount, you’re giving money to a random trans person. I can’t think of anything better than that, can you??

Hey it's Black Friday I guess! I don't have any sales going on but my work is very reasonably priced anyways! Thread here of work for sale - some already sold so if you're interested in anything drop me an email at [email protected]!
First, a few pendants (plus one set), all in copper! I love working in copper because I think it oxidizes quite appealingly. It also has some antimicrobial properties! The leaf is $35, the spider set is $50, and that beautiful rattlesnake is $75

Hey! Vaguely contemplating making some cookies for a work event (it's some kind of run and you get cookies when you finish). Thought I'd make some gluten-free ones because all my gluten intolerant friends tend to get left out. Anyone have a fave gluten-free cookie recipe?

In fact the aunties and uncles and cousins created a homemade silent film called "who stole the manicotti" about it, which apparently my dad's cousin rather amusingly re-edited and uploaded on YouTube lmao
I haven't actually been to a family Thanksgiving in years since I live so far away but I recall my dad's Italian family usually ate either manicotti or stuffed shells (so, some variation on a theme of pasta with lots of cheese)

I wanted to spend some time in my workshop today and that did not happen but I did apply for Medicaid (because apparently I am Too Poor to get marketplace insurance unless the state first decides I am Not Poor Enough for Medicaid... I hate it here)

This is so bonkers like if you just want to listen to music without any effort, I have good news! Other people who aren't hacks make music all the time, much of which you can listen to for free on the internet

One time after COVID started and the job I'd actually signed up for didn't exist anymore but I had to stick around for financial reasons, my boss asked if I liked my job/was happy and I honestly answered no, the thing I loved is gone. He said, "I don't think you can do good work if you're not happy"
I'll never get over how American work culture thinks it's normal to force workers to feign happiness

Like it's genuinely so bleak and cruel to make your workforce miserable, but also penalize them for being miserable. Let us mope, at least.

You're told it'll sabotage your career if you're a vocally politically opinionated, queer, woman. But things sabotaging my career are systemic xenophobia, sexism, and horrible job market. Which are a direct consequences of people not being vocally opinionated in the first place.

Maybe weird market research question but if you were going to hire a pet photographer how much would you be willing to pay? Or like, what would you consider to be reasonable?

Went to a fashion exhibit and got told off for trying to take a photo of the back of one of the dresses. Hilariously I got waaaaaay closer to the fronts of some of them but standing 10ft off to the side but not directly in front was Crimes(tm)

So, um, if anyone has any pennies in the couch cushions they could send my way, my neighbor just found these in his shed. He knows I “help kittens” and well, here we are.

They’re underweight and filthy, and the smallest one worries me, but we’ll get him bathed and fed and figure things out. /1

A friend of mine came over and Pidge took one look at her stuff and was like, "ah, a thing which is for me." Look at her, she's so proud of herself
