One of the most influential books I ever read was Tim Kasser's The High Price of Materialism. I read it when I was around 30 and it shaped my thinking on 'stuff' so much. Luckily, my spouse felt the same. Understanding that 'more' won't bring contentment has meant I've felt content living with less.

Just a little reminder that you could save someone’s life by learning this simple bit of 1st aid for the type of seizure you picture in your head. It can happen to anyone at any age anywhere,you could be at the match and need to use it it’s a lot more common than you think. Timing it is vital! #YNWA

While I appreciate Grand River Transit buses sharing messages this week about the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, it stands out that they are doing so while the Region contemplates cutting transit programs that allow people with disabilities to move around the region more easily.
Chris concludes, "Ultimately, I hope we can find a solution that allows disabled people to participate in their community and to live their lives with dignity. That is what good, specialized transit makes possible and that's something we should work hard to preserve."
