Sometimes, just sticking to my guns with an imperfect idea is still better than trying to reinvent so much that you lose track of what the game was.

This is all true and a good lesson, but I'm also telling myself that to justify the wasted revisions lol.

...and despite what seem to be better rules, better mechanisms...it sucks. It really isn't more fun to play, and while the original version randomizes the hands more, I dunno, i found it more fun than the newer more thematic ideas.
