a UI for a design tokens colour converter with a 'drag and drop' area for file upload. A section to choose which colour format you would like to use. the content of the .tokens or .json file you uploaded and an output showing the changes. There are then a copy to clipboard button or a download file button

struggling to get it to send a post with an image to Bluesky (works fine with Mastodon) … in lieu of that I'm tidying up the UI a little bit.

I'm not sure it's working perfectly (yet), but this is at the bottom of the page:

a near perfect test for my lil' bookmarklet
the word 'glass' gets replaced with 'ass' The absolute UX *drama* of the new tinted (vs. clear) liquid ass preference in the macOS 26.1 System Settings. Why separate from the Reduce Transparency accessibility toggle? Why so prominent in the Appearance section? Why do users need to know about liquid ass at all? Mistakes were made here 😅

if you rely on baseline to determine the web features you think you can safely use … not long now 'til color-mix could become 'widely available'.

finally getting around to fixing up a demo from 2016 and writing a quick (hopefully) article about backdrop-filter
an interactive CSS backdrop-filter (demo) interface showing various visual filter controls applied to an abandoned room image. The semi-transparent control panel displays sliders and reset buttons for seven filter properties: Blur, Brightness, Contrast, Grayscale, Hue Rotate, Invert, and Opacity, plus a 'Reset All' button. The background shows a dilapidated interior with debris, an antique baby carriage, and a bicycle wheel. Text reading 'That House' is centered in the image. At the bottom, active filter values are displayed: blur(0px), grayscale(32%), invert(0%), brightness(200%), contrast(200%), hue-rotate(206deg), and opacity(100%). This interface demonstrates how CSS backdrop-filter properties can be adjusted in real-time to create various visual effects on underlying content.
