Generally speaking an iPod Video (5th Gen) or an iPod Classic (6th Gen_ are the best ones to have, they come with more than enough storage as standard for all your music but if you're interested in modding you can expand it even further with SD card adapters. Happy iPodding! :D

Unfortunately over lockdown iPods became really popular and now the second-hand market for them is super expensive, but with any luck you've probably got one lying around somewhere that you've forgotten about. I have one that used to belong to my dad when I was little :P
