“Sir, a second LSU Sports non-Football Team has scored a shit ton of points when they had the ball on Offense in a game played on Saturday.”

Large Gold potatoes were always used (my mother called them “Irish” potatoes), 5 of them in a pot that was brought to a rolling boil on the Chambers stove that she used her first schoolteaching paycheck to buy for her mother (pictures shown). On a separate burner 5 eggs were hardboiled.

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

Yeah, I’m more than good here with Dan Mathews (seated) and the Highway Patrol. They always got it done.

Two new hotties have entered the villa.

Wailea and Bora Bora are now on my weather app, gotta scout for future travel to them.

Temperatures approaching 80 Degrees in the Fall?

Perfect weather to enjoy my free Sno-Ball.

So….Someone On Here suggested what I mentioned below, less the Conecuh sausage. Here is my take on it, which includes said sausage.

I will have to look for it next time. I only got two of these breakfast burritos plus some frozen risotto and frozen couscous when I was there yesterday.

I went to one of my four go-to barbecue places yesterday, and got some Smoked Turkey. So a nice club sandwich with ham, cheese, lettuce, and tomato was in order for last night’s meal, including olives and pickles on the side.

This will be key as part of my answer to the Thanksgiving meal question.

Fiesta Mart had this big-ass generic (locally-made) bag of “NACHO Tortilla CHIPS”, and this is exactly what I was looking for to use in Nachos and to dip into my queso, salsa, and guacamole. They have just the right amount of saltiness and crunchiness to them.

@makeshermark.bsky.social Behold, the Earl Campbell Link empire. I promised pictures when I made my next shopping trip.

The original is in the first picture, some of the varieties are also in the other pictures.

So, since I’ve kinda been away for the last few days, time for some recaps.

First, also from Friday, another trip to Fiesta Mart to buy the other two varieties of Conecuh Sausage available to me in this area. I’m using the Hot & Spicy in a dinner idea inspired by someone here (I don’t remember).

From Friday evening: Doing my part for the Buyout. Box Combo. No slaw, extra toast if you’re nasty.

Read the ALT Text on the second picture to see why I use my hack of opening the box on the drive back. I don’t like it getting a steam bath.

If Cane’s only used paper boxes like Layne’s….le sigh.

Going back through some old stuff at the start of the season, I forgot to post some pics of that light-up wrist thingy on my wrist.

Here they are.
