Brexit dividend: our swimming waters are MUCH more polluted than any EU country's because we no longer have to follow EU environmental law since Brexit so water companies can get away with just about anything.

(Just one of many pesky EU rules Brexiters hated.)

Britain. Lovely place.

It's here! It's finally here! It's Daniel Hannan Day!

The future he promised everyone a mere 2 days before the Brexit referendum is so exciting, I think my heart may burst with joy when I step outside and experience it for myself.

(Read it. You deserve a laugh.)

Yet more evidence that party funding rules desperately need reform.

British politics is painfully open to capture by wealthy vested interests.

And to the oil magnates, tech-bros and right-wing ideologues emboldened by Trump, the sums needed to capture UK parties are not even loose change.
Kemi Badenoch ditched the Tories’ commitment to reaching Net Zero by 2050 after accepting donations from funders of the Global Warming Policy Foundation and Net Zero Watch, both of which have campaigned for the target to be scrapped.

Thames Water's £3 billion loan will include £898 million in consultancy fees and interest payments.

And they plan on forcing customers to pay for it.

We can't keep rewarding them for failure. Public ownership of our water is the only option.

In the decade after privatisation Thames Water SOLD OR CLOSED at least 45 sewage treatment works

Today *at least half* of its sewage plants lack the pipes and tanks to process enough waste water

PUBLIC OWNERSHIP NOW

He is a multimillionaire, with his multimillionaire friends at reform don’t even give a toss about working people. Wake the hell up.

A bit of good news: NHS England hospital waiting list falls for 4th month in row. The lowest figures since April 2023. Considering the “quademic” and winter months, this is an achievement for both the NHS and Labour government.

So it’ll obviously be all over the news, right?

Sadly, they are…
