made another pumpkin pie today to take to board game night at my cousin's place this evening and managed to not spill it all over the bottom of my oven this time - still used a frozen crust though

thanksgiving bun edition: oops all vegetables! roasted carrots with a brown sugar glaze, roasted asparagus, pan seared brussels sprouts with garlic, pan seared squash and zucchini with garlic, and of course, MASHED POTATO

you can see where I spilled the filling but I think minor accident aside, the pies turned out okay!

my drawing professor gave us one last little fun assignment to do after the value study, an abstract ink drawing - just working on it here at home so I can something nice to turn in on Monday along with the actual homework!

the mortar was not working out so I am using hot glue to assemble it structurally then I was use mortar to fill gaps and cover the glue blobs for aesthetics

WIP of my current observational drawing assignment - the feedback I got from the instructor while I was working on this the other day was that it has a lot of emotion in it, and I'm drawing it in a way that it doesn't look like a homework assignment - I am going to be riding that high for DAYS

talked to my professor about the missing patterns and suggested an alternate structure for my sculpture to use only these bricks I already have made. good to go there so now I’m painting them while quietly seething that someone would take something on our project shelves

I drew patterns like this for the four walls of the tower I am making so that I had some guidance while hand molding my bricks. I was working on one and had the other three stored on our in progress project storage place. I finished this wall and went to go get my next pattern and they are gone 😭
