On the level, though, I personally think each expac takes a lot longer--though you right, by SE's own timeline, it takes 3.5 years from ARR to DT, from IN GAME DIALOGUE, which puts the twins at ⤵️

They're standing on the back of it, working the controls, rolling over some ruins in a very watery ruined area. The wheels of the machinery are nearly as tall as Sha'dow is, and their wheel wells are neon green. The machinery itself is long, and has a loading bed inbetween the scoop and the back end, with a neon green side panel. It's clear Sha'dow has swapped out the lift tines for a front loader scoop to move rubble.

(Sha'dow doesn't need glasses to see, but they DO need them to prevent migraines from sunlight sensitivity, particularly on the First. It's not nearly as bad on the Source, but being a Drow, sunlight isn't their friend. Not at all! (They're also blind in their right eye, much like I am in my left!🥰)

At World's End Diana2112 Summary: Sha'dow had sent them all away, smiling that INFURIATING crooked smile he always did when he was about to do something reckless and stupid and DANGEROUS. Shtola had paced back and forth the full length of the Ragnarok's helm--forty-two steps--more times than she wished to count, when miraculously the broken, beaten, and scarred man himself FINALLY appeared ondeck, he was covered in those eerie blue flames that burned in his blind eye whenever he cast magic. No time to think about anything but keeping Sha'dow alive, the Scions rushed him to the Ragnarok's MedBay, where they all fought--Shtola included--tooth and nail to save him. She only hoped it would be enough, because in the quarter of an hour between Meteion saying Sha'dow had defeated the Endsinger, and Sha'dow appearing bloodied and on death's door, the Miqo'te had realized she wanted to be MORE than just a casual lover. She wanted what Dra'lesgosiir, Landra, and so many others waiting back on Etheirys had with him. And while yes, she planned to give him an earful WHEN--not if--he woke up, right now? Right now the only thing that mattered was keeping him alive.

Sha'dow, a Genderfluid Drow with charcoal skin and white shoulder length hair, goatee and mustache. Their goatee and mustache are not quite Van Dyke, but close. They're dressed in a purple, high ruffle collared dress shirt with wide, short sleeves, and a black vest with brass buttons. They're using a cobbler shaker to mix drinks, shaking it. On their left ring finger is an Eternity Band with a large diamond on it. Behind them are two very large red floor-to-ceiling shelves lined with many bottles of alcohol, in front of them is a long bar, with taps for beer, lined with bottles of alcohol, a pipe box in the foreground, and a wine rack in the far back. On the wall in the very back hang wine glasses. Behind them in the corner is a treasure chest, and an icebox. There are several barstools visible, as well as the stairs leading to the top floor of the estate. The walls are made to resemble stained glass, and the floor is marble. A picture of an apartment interior in FFXIV. It has dim, cozy lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere. In the foreground, is a round table, with two place settings, as well as an icy dessert centerpiece and a frozen cocktail drink. Further in are two planter partitions near a staircase going to a loft, behind them are two chairs, in front of a shoji screen printed with a white tiger design. To the other side of the stairs is a growing tree, with seating around it, and a large vase, inder a wall fountain. To either side of the vase is a dragon statue on a plinth, and a katana sword set on a plinth. Up the stairs leads to a loft, with a canopy bed made out of natural cherry blossom trees, retaining their shape, rather than being worked into lumber, the canopy itself being made out of cherry blossom flowers. Also on the loft are many stuffed plushies. Hanging on the wall in the back is a war banner. The wall is a lilac pinkish purple. There's a large chandelier covered in vines hanging from the ceiling. A Hrothgar male with white fur and blonde hair standing in the corner of a well appointed kitchen. He's dressed in light blue chef's gear, and a white apron, his arms crossed, wearing oven mitts. On his hip is a copper frying pan. Behind him is a cooking station, to his left is a large cast iron wok/pot suspended over an open flame, the lid of it leaning against its side, wooden cooking utensils hang behind it. To his right a basket of fresh ingredients sits on the countertop, and behind that more cooking utensils hang, above which a spice rack sits. In front of him is a countertop with a cutting board, a chopped head of lettuce on it, and next to that a mortar and pestle, fresh herbs in it, with tiny baskets and bundles of fresh herbs around it. The walls of the kitchen are being renovated, partially covered in brick, partially just cement. There are a few bottles of spirits in the floor at the edge of his oven, there being no room on the countertop for them. Sha'dow, a Drow elf male, sat in a large, high back chair, a very intense look on his face. His shoulder length hair, his goatee, and his mustache are all white. His right eye is covered with a scar and is milky coloured, his left eye is charcoal gray. He's leaning forward in the seat, arms on his knees, hands under the desk, which is covered in an opened book, some rolled documents, and many scattered papers. The lighting in the room is a very sinister red, mostly coming from the left hand side, lighting up that profile edge, the right side of his face being more in shadow. He's dressed in a Storm Lieutenant's Jacket, black, with red lapels, double breasted. He has a monocle over his blind right eye. (Pre 7.3, was still using he/him pronouns)

A closeup of Sha'dow's smile, a Drow. You can't see anything but the smile, mustache a very neatly trimmed goatee, a bit of his nose, and the collar of his coat and bottom of an eyepatch, covering his the eye. The hair and facial hair are white, skin is charcoal. The smile is one of "Neva tangle wi' yer bettas." There's some grass in the background (proving that Sha'dow DOES in fact touch grass!), and the of the coat is trimmed in red, on black leather.
