There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

Black Baptist Churches
A Mosque
A small Appalachian church

Years ago, before my book published, I was invited to the Sante Fe Literary Festival as a guest. It was a really busy time, so I had no idea which other authors would be in attendance. My husband and I walked into the green room, and seated in front of me were Margaret Atwood and George R.R. Martin.
Our reviewer Leigh Haber loved Margaret Atwood's new memoir, BOOK OF LIVES, calling it "the most spectacular, hilarious, and generous autobiography of the last quarter century." The review will be in the print Sunday @bostonglobe.com but you can read it here now www.bostonglobe.com/2025/10/29/a...
Margaret Atwood didn’t want to write a memoir. Thank goodness she did it anyway. - The Boston Globe
Atwood's "Book of Lives" has to be the most spectacular, hilarious, and generous autobiography of the last quarter century — or ever.

Going to see Anything Goes at the theatre next week. If its half as good as the 2021 version that was on telly recently Ill be happy. Sutton Foster excellent in the lead role and the rest of the cast looked like they were having a ball too.
