Trump’s “peace plan” is pure 1700s court politics: a monarch issuing an ultimatum to a threatened vassal. It’s not peace, it’s feudal coercion. This would only feed Putin's imperial ambitions further.

Every day I hear another news how US under Trump is doing some ghastly thing to undermine Ukraine, democracy or human rights. Still some of our leaders claim that US is a trustworthy ally. Lets vote those out.

What happens next echoes far to the future. If we continue in current trajectory, Putin will be remembered in Russia as the leader who broke US, NATO and Europe. Who brought Ukraine back to its sphere of influence. This was done with extreme brutality. Russian will learn that democracies are weak!

Could we just stop with the magical thinking about European security. We keep saying things like "security guarantees" or "article 5" like casting a spell of protection.
If we want lasting peace, lets acknowledge that what we believe in, is irrelevant. Only convincing our enemies makes us safe.
