Today I am taking part in the Committee Stage of the Bus Services Bill, which brings back lots of the ability to run bus services that were removed by the Thatcher government’s privatisation.

Yesterday I spent time with St Petrock’s, @hepctrust.bsky.social, and the RD&E to discuss the work they do to identify street-attached people living with HepC and other blood-borne diseases, and help get them vital treatment.

Whatever one’s view of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill (the assisted dying bill), the parliamentary process has been thorough and we will rightly spend significant time debating the issue.

Earlier in the week I had a great 24hrs in #Leeds at UKREIIF, banging the drum for #Exeter and the wider SW.
I spoke on a panel about innovation clusters in the SW, and the importance for investors of a track record, a good reputation, and a deep pool of talent - which we have in abundance.
