Had a visitor drop in while on ex yesterday….
Here is a snippet of our training exercises with Rescue 116 which took place yesterday, just east of Skerries.

These training exercises are vital to ensuring that both crews are familiar with each other, the techniques and operating procedures required for real missions. #IrishCoastGuard #SAR

I’m bringing Cardassia Day back from the ashes. The Bajorans did everything possible to destroy Cardassia Day, its reputation, and all of the species that love us. They didn't put up a single statue of me, but even worse “WOKE,” statues instead! #StarTrek #Sisko197

Today marks the 8th anniversary of the loss of Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, Captain Mark Duffy, Winchman Paul Ormsby and Winchman Ciaran Smith.

2 brave souls were brought home, 2 remain lost to the sea, but all 4 will be forever remembered for the sacrifice they made.

Six months ago I handed back my body armour after 30+ years covering conflict for the BBC. How have our ways of surviving on the battlefield evolve over those decades? Here’s a bumper 🧵of hard won personal experience

📟 112 call-outs for us this year as of the earlier tasking for a missing person on the coast.

✅ 112 ended well - thankfully the person was found safe & well ashore. Significant searches were undertaken by Coast Guard, Gardai, and Lifeboats.

We have become, as far as we can see, the first major Irish publication to stop posting to Twitter/X. Hope we can serve our former 70K+ followers over here, given this exodus
