Ah. The one trick president type definitely falls into this category, because they do things that are a mismatch for the school they're running and land in the same space. But you're right that it can be without necessarily looking for the next gig for some of the one trick types.

In practice, this means they are often breaking things while interviewing for their next gig. And sorrow to those who hire a Peter principled president or provost. They will make a bunch of bad, wasteful decisions assuming they'll be gone, but no one else will be stupid enough to hire them.

Yeah, funny enough this was inspired by seeing some people deep in an unrelated thread shift into arguing about what constitutes "East Texas" and it reminded me so much of the Upstate definition wars that I realized every state probably has a version of it.

I always assumed the bad live action remakes were some kind of IP control maintenance because they were mostly of the classics, but this doesn't really seem like an old enough movie to qualify.

Oof. Sounds like we're both in for a hell of an adventure next week. Gods be with us both.

Probably. Although there was a lot of corruption in the 1880-1920s administrations, so I wanted to leave room for them.

Again, you're misrepresenting and lying about both the issue, our exchange, and the nature of the interests involved here. You'd rather live in unsafe conditions and in a giant parking lot. I am done with this conversation. It's clear you'd rather operate in bad faith.

So again, take your misrepresentations to someone else. Stop lying. Own that you are a wealthy car owner grumpy about parking.

Ah. So the truth of your position comes out. You just want street parking and want to hide behind progressive sounding talking points to mislead about it. Poorer residents don't have cars because owning cars is costly.
