The Blanket rezoning bylaw is not perfect and perhaps needs some adjustment.
If as you say you're pushing for a made-in-Calgary housing solution perhaps making some changes to the bylaw is appropriate.
But to throw the entire bylaw out seems a little like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Mayor Farkas.
Did we have a plebiscite of blanket rezoning that I somehow missed?
Perhaps your perception is that Calgarians clearly rejected it. But it is not at all accurate for you to state Calgarians rejected it. In fact you only think you're working for Calgarians in this matter. 1/2

How’s this going to work if your healthcare number is put on your rivers license?

💯%

You obviously haven’t been watching Danielle Smith’s UCP very closely.
November 28, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Might take a little longer with today’s at least two steps back.
November 28, 2025 at 12:52 AM
Hadn’t thought of that.
Considering the notwithstanding clause, the systematic destruction of public healthcare and education, a provincial police force we don’t want etc. etc.
I most definitely hope this doesn’t have enough weight to tip the scales in her favour.

Extremely disappointed in out federal government.
This is just wrong for all of the reasons stated above as well as not consulting with the native bands and the government of British Columbia.

Absolutely he crossed a line!
I do not see any way she can defend this weaponization of the voter list.
He should be charged by Elections Alberta.

But she thinks we are all like her base.
When we hear what she says it goes in one ear gathers speed and out the other.

Public services like healthcare, education, policing, transit etc. should not be expected to get a return on their investment.

It's likely Alberta will take decades to recover from these bassackward policies.

SMH!!!!!!!!!!

How about the Liberal Party tell their Leader and his MP’s to step up and stop Danielle Smith destroying Alberta Healthcare.

So that Albertans can stay healthy so they too can participate in this strong Canada we’re building.

And that belief is ingrained in Americans virtually from birth.

Thank you ‪@heathermcpherson.bsky.social‬ your comments are very much welcomed by this Albertan.

I'm with Justin.
I'm sick of populist politicians promising to lower taxes by finding efficiencies. We've been so called finding efficiencies for close to 40 years now, surely there can't be much left to find.
If we want decent services we have to pay for them.
November 26, 2025 at 6:44 PM
You never know with the CPC, they seem to hold him in high esteem.
Or is it the fear of some sort of retribution if they don't tow the line.
Besides, do they have anyone better waiting in the wings?
November 26, 2025 at 6:39 PM
I have said right from the beginning that the gig economy is nothing but exploitation of workers.
It’s not really about providing services it’s about taking advantage of those providing the service.
I refuse to use any of these services.

FIFO FIFO it’s of to the polls we go. 🙂

It’s not like he’s new to council.
November 26, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Yes we did.
November 26, 2025 at 12:32 AM
I guess some people need help living under this UCP government.
November 25, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Campaign have access to Elections Alberta data for specific purposes.
Accessing that information to weaponize the information gathered against a specific voter is not one of those purposes.
Nally should be charged by Elections Alberta for doing so.
