Hodgesia sp 157 from Yirrkala NT, Australia.
The genus is characterised by short, apparently one-jointed palpi, flat scales on the head, and long lateral vein scales on the wings with marked lateral spines.

Pied Heron (Egretta picata) seen Darwin in northern Australia, these are small herons with dark slaty wings, white neck & throat, and a striking crest in breeding plumage. Feeds mainly on insects in wetlands & mangroves.
