Took the bike in 6C to get the kids to karate last night.
We used to have cold cutoffs, but once we’re out there, it’s easier than expected - and I feel physically better too.
(It helps that Texas “extremes” are only -12C. 😄)

In the coming weeks we'll have:
• 4-way stops at two areas of conflict.
• Short stoplights increased during school run.

City Council members, Superintendent, Principals, Teachers and a whole lot of kids. I spoke to City Council Member Beck about our challenges in the neighborhood and handed him a map - the student bike network, all protected infrastructure, that our kids and families need to commute to school.

After a quick alert to the store of the bike parking situation, I asked if we could bring the bike in. They agreed. (Most stores agree.)

Bike Rodeo brought in people from all over the county! 🤠
Kids raced on the track and did many rounds of the obstacle courses. Other kids started out balancing and, by the time they left, were fully biking.
My oldest on why she loved the track:
“I’m free, safe from cars, and never have to stop.”❤️
