a week ago i completed my first bikepacking trip, 3 days/2 nights camping, ~300km along the Mosel River from the 🇩🇪🇱🇺🇫🇷 border to Koblenz! i did the first half of the trip solo!

Did a fun 32km gravel ride through the forest down to the Lahn & Rhein rivers yesterday. Preparing for my 1st bikepacking overnighter (200km+) this week.
Didn't know I was capable of doing this stuff without the aid of an e-bike, have surprised myself with my grit & capacity to power up hills.

project update: finished the sewing of the sound/touch art piece & now attaching wires to allow conductive touch to each of ~280 individual plushy nodes - that's over double the number i originally anticipated 😅 it's a slow process ✨

I got a new gravel bike! I had an e-bike previously cuz i was convinced i was past my prime to cycle any kind of distance unassisted, but learned that's not true! Did first small ride (30.2km) on this beautiful bike to go jump in a cold lake!

TIL there are ticks active in winter in northern Germany! 😱 Wilbur & I each had one on us after a walk at the campsite! Luckily they hadn't attached & wilbur takes bravecto.

also cooked (some low risk) tteok-bokki for first time & i really liked it!! can't wait to try some next time that isn't a readymade version, but this was great for the campervan!

icymi i'm in autistic burnout rn & trying to recover. proud of myself that i'm *trying* to take care of myself now (even if it's a painfully slow process). Took wilbur on a solo camping trip in nature this weekend despite my agoraphobic tendencies lately. i think he's enjoying it so far.

Disassembled the kitchen in my campervan today to fix some stuff that was annoying and/or was broken after my 2 week trip in remote iceland.
Planning to do a trip in December with the dogs, but not sure where yet! 🏞️ 🤔 I just wanna be somewhere far away from people & computers in nature!
