Good evening. My ornamental cabbage is not doing very well. Colorful but also sickly. May have been the big piles of wild rabbit poop that I cleaned out when we got back from Minnesota. Rabbit poop doesn't need curing but there was a lot in this bed, maybe too much manure goodness.

"the treasurer of a PAC* that legally launders money from developers, someone who writes campaign checks to City elected officials, should not be appointed to boards, let alone boards with elected officials as members, with millions of dollars in incentives for developers on the table."

#TransparencyFail No Way To Run A Govt #395679

Corporate welfare was authorized for Goodwill Bldg without due diligence by Alders. In St. Louis City, it really doesn't matter what you reno/build for, the most important thing is that you generate building permits and employ some union labor.
I wish that C2N’s scope of occupancy had been specified during the incentive approval process for #4140ForestPark
The status of “early stage” construction of the new building was studiously downplayed by Cortex at the TIF Commission rubber stamp & BOA #HUDZ approval of the incentive awards.

Good afternoon. Our Shining Blue Star mdc.mo.gov/discover-nat... has pretty flowers in Spring and great Fall color leaves. We got a division from a neighbor's mother plant that has taken over a ditch and looks glorious.

And also vacant commercial buildings. Though every time I’ve walked this area (most recently November 18th) I’ve seen people and pets living inside these buildings. I’ve seen that several people were rescued who were living there but worry others weren’t so lucky. www.firstalert4.com/2025/11/28/f...

Weekly paper of record in Hickory County Mo has no reporters, not just no local govt reporter. Editor gripes in that he can't "report" on govt if entities don't email him their meeting Minutes (for him to regurgitate into stories). County Commission Minutes are posted online in monthly batches.

More Bluesky censorship. @moderation.bsky.app really hates art or they're using AI to police.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to use the word "hate" w/o getting censored btw. The rules are either not straightforward or designed to make this a place for kitty and puppy photos and that's it.

Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday shopping isn't part of my culture. My first real experience was the Thanksgiving at MIL's lake house after she'd remarried. The adult stepdaughters "had" to woof down turkey then drive to Branson to get in line at outlet mall, Walmart. It was rude, ruined MIL's day.

Good morning. We were delighted to find a 🌳 tree with great Fall color 🍂 on yesterday's group walk to lake park after pie and turkey. We've begun a stretch of many days with rain and freezing temperatures, so that color won't last. Timing is everything.

The more you know 🌠 Turkeys not on the Thanksgiving menu edition
jiminy's animal reviews: The ocellated turkey (𝘔𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘢) is much like the most common wild turkey of North America, except it cosplays as a peacock. It looks like a black light poster of a whiskey bottle. It’s like a Lisa Frank still life of Appalachia. It’s glorious. 🧵

We are out of mashed potatoes, rolls, and pie but there's still all sorts of food for second Thanksgiving dinner.
