In this case, what I mean by the stuff I do while putting on the play is like: taking out the garbage, showering, etc. but I think the framing is best when defining that is left to be open-ended, because it’s also whatever you imagine.

Like, Icelandic Christmas is 2 weeks long and has 13 scary trickster Santas that you have to banish via bonfire back to their troll mother and her child-vorous cat. Now preschool has sober, grave Sankt Nikolaus with his cross staff and then otherwise we have the Ho Ho Ho version of Santa.

After trying out 3 different cultures’ take on Christmas (Icelandic, German, American) I think the lasting impression will largely be how made-up the traditions are.
