It also makes me think Japan hates people with ADHD on a cultural level. 😑 Its illegal to own Adderall or Vyvanse yet the language itself requires you to be at constant attention. If you can’t, well don’t expect a lifeline in the form of a context clue, the boat is already past the horizon.

This is one of the things about the Japanese language that drives me nuts because in English if you aren’t constantly establishing context the conversation becomes an Abbott and Costello bit.

This is one of the things about the Japanese language that drives me nuts because in English if you aren’t constantly establishing context the conversation becomes an Abbott and Costello bit.
Mom has put a firm ban on discussing politics in her home which I am thankful for, but unfortunately watching FOX is not considered “discussing politics”. So, while my dad can’t directly engage me in debate over what’s on the tv, I can’t complain about it either lest we summon the matron’s wrath. 😒

Kinda like visiting family and trying to shut out the propaganda dehumanizing immigrants blasting on the TV every time you go to the kitchen for a snack.

Luckily you don't, and the certification covers much more than that (unfortunately). Also, a certification isn't a license. It's just a piece of paper you can show to clients as proof that you know enough about the subject to pass an expensive exam.
