My son is doing a lot of pre-Xmas crafting these days and had some brown and orange polymer clay left so I had an idea. That was fun. Turned out better than expected. #ewok

One of the few #starwars things I found in Seoul were these blind boxes with small assembly kits. Put together they ended up being a bit bigger than vintage Kenner and I’m very happy with what I got (it was only characters from the Mandalorian show).

Day 2 of German Comic Con. Managed to get into costume and considering my 4yo took those photos I’d say not a bad day. He even got into his Gonk Droid later to show it to @tim-griesbach.bsky.social of the @501stgg.bsky.social

Didn’t think the trailer looked convincing but after I read some positive posts here I decided to watch it and boy am I glad I did. Awesome movie. Looks like the franchise has found its Filoni.

It’s my son’s very first troop and costume. He wanted to do it. I helped him, but he picked the color and committed to it. Got into it both days even though it’s heavy and has low visibility. What a trooper. See what I did there? Must’ve gotten it from his mom.

When my 4yo son said he wants to do a Gonk droid cosplay I didn’t believe him, because he tends to change his mind 100 times per minute but this one somehow stuck and he enjoyed the positive feedback (‘best costume of the entire con’). I really appreciate he picked classic Kenner color scheme.

Location 8 - where the final show of the Saja Boys took place. N.Seoul Tower. There is no venue there but everything else looks 100% identical.

Location 7 - where Saja boys performed Soda Pop. No location looks 100% like in the movie as it was only heavily inspired but often it’s a 90% match such as indicated by the tiles. Also Myeongdong.
