You’d need a rigorous auditing & certification system to ensure the generated current came from which eliminates the entire point of the blockchain

I once talked to a guy that was working on something like this but he didn’t make a compelling case that the blockchain was actually useful in this context. The “proof of work” is generating electricity but if you only measure that it is easily gamed (eg people plugging in gas generators to fake it)
