My marriage wasn't great. Ex-husband had an operation, and there was a risk he'd die on the operating table. After the op, he called to say he was fine. I realised I was disappointed he'd be coming home. I knew it was definitely time to leave.

TL;DR Rising prices aren’t cooling demand so the RBA has to lift prices still more (ie hike interest rates) to cool demand that higher prices heated up. :-/

Dude, it’s price gouging by oligopolists & monopsonists.

Economics textbooks need to be rewritten.

The RBA's likely next interest rate move has surprised just about everyone
Hotter-than-expected inflation figures have caught most economists and policy makers off guard. The ongoing price pressures in the economy open the door for an RBA interest rate hike in 2026.

Don’t know if this is a sarcastic dig, or a reasonable joke. I chose to read the latter and had a chuckle.
Great to see our PM decided to get married in Public Housing.

The full cost of the BoM website has been known for some time — I reported it in September last year — so why would management not be honest about it? It’s a story of executives meeting the firm ‘Accidenture’. $96m later… www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/2025/11...

This book has been so soothing. I have probably learned more about the foreign policies that shape the world just in the first three chapters than I have in at least the last 15 years of news media. 🙃 It's helped clarify a lot of the absolutely batshit nonsense of the current timeline. COMFORT READ

“I’ve never heard of anything like that in my 30 years working,” an ex-DHS official said.

Federal authorities were chided for seizing electronic devices from Tate and his brother, and told to return them, records and interviews show. Experts said the intervention was highly inappropriate.

It is fun that he applied for funds for solar panels.

That MPs get a taxpayer slush fund of $150,000 per annum to spend on keeping their electorate sweet is fun too. Did you know?

The fundamental thing that makes Miller a horrific person is he sees a person in need - any person, for any reason - as a drag on everyone else. He views all weakness as grounds for complete disposal, and all strength as validation of merit. He does not understand anything about people or the world.
