Leaving 4th Ave Mark's with my new Helly Hansen rain jacket ($179). Had to max my bank account. They had the style of my worn-out Helly ($80) but only in giant 2XL. & a great Viking coated ($80) only in tiny S! New Helly will also be my winter jacket, layered under for warmth. #Vancouver #homeless

I like it but 1st opportunity I'm gonna try to do both - a vertically centred-zipper & full pass-through kangaroo pocket. Think I can do it with three zippers. #homeless #Vancouver

Went up to Broadway & Granville at 7:30am to see fender bender collision at intersection. On way back to McD's I took an overexposed photo of sunrise-in-progress over the low-rise 2500 block of South Granville, plus a shot of sunrise reflecting in two-storey podium of 1477 on W Broadway. #Vancouver
One of the overflowing #recycling alley bin sets on the north side of the 1200 block W Broadway, in #Vancouver Fairview. For 2nd or 3rd week a Waste Management collection truck driver has missed this alley block! WM collects under contract to RecycleBC, with contract expiring in May, I believe.

Gave my last $5 to a #homeless binner for 3 magic beans... Not really. It was for a $55 cut of aged PEI ribeye steak someone obviously dropped accidentally. Everyone in McD's (incl. a restaurant cook) is confident it's fresh. I'll cook it tonight with rice. #Vancouver #homeless

Driver parked/idled on Spruce Street with vehicle nose poking into the crosswalk. First they tried to squich right up against service vehicle behind them but thot better of that. Nearly exited vehicle but also thot better of that. Ended up just idling there waiting for someone. #Vancouver #parking

Changed pads on my front Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes. Brakes originally installed January & pad replacement was months overdue. Been riding on back canti brakes alone for weeks! Hope I haven't screwed up pad replacement. My 1st time & I found it quite finicky. #Vancouver #homeless #bike

Watching the film "House of Dynamite" I noticed all the time spent talking on cell phones. Then I noticed sameness of the phones. Over first 2/3rds of film everyone seems to use the same model iPhone (16?) except FLOTUS, who has a satellite phone. POTUS' iPhone has presidential seal on bump case.
