I was also aware of Briggs Sports in Enfield that Ewan mentioned. All independent sports shops like that we like an Aladdin's cave! The Pond has never been the same since it closed!

Good point - to be fair there were so many youth team players introduced to 1st team around that time including the likes of Minton, Watson, Tuttle, McDonald, Hendon, A Polston, Dearden, Hill, Hodges etch only played a handful of games.

I'd have to compare to other clubs I guess to benchmark. In theory we were relatively stable until Venables left in 93 as until then he had full control over comings and goings but like you say Ossie and then Francis arrived in quick succession and wanted their own players.

It's a technique I've mastered at home when my wife comes home and verbalises the minutiae of her day! What she doesn't know is that I'm usually planning an interview with an ex-Spurs player in my head at that moment 🤫
