El Spotto
@spotto.bsky.social
You may recognize me from such places as #NOLAtwitter.

You may address me as Sir El Spotto, as befits my status as a Knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Sealand (OMS), or you can just call me El Spotto. It ain’t that big a deal.
dammit.

Lemme tell the boss. Wait,
I need this job.

Oh wow!

I would get exactly zero sleep staring at all that awesome old architecture.
December 9, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Ok! I can be there in…12 hours?
December 9, 2025 at 7:25 PM
I’m glad you’re ok. How did the playtime go? Get any good sticks?

You know what looks great on the bottom foot or so of a tree on a table? Cayenne powder.

…and then we find that Parish has taken his South Louisiana name to heart and actually likes spicy.

Mmm, no. I blame the artificially induced super premium pricing they have leaned into. Like any collector bubble, it had to burst. Blanton’s is good, but not current market price good. I bought the hell out of it before they inflated the price.

😂🤣

If the blackouts and boil orders don’t continue apace while they are there, neither is clearly a real issue.

Oh I plan on picking up a trunk full of OTC and first aid stuff and dropping it off at the biker church.
They and the little chapel next to me both put their faith into action and do a lot for the community.

The bikers in particular use their space as a cold shelter.

Look, my future is so bright.
December 9, 2025 at 7:13 PM
Well NOW we did. 😂🤣

And even at 2 pairs I still need to go on an FSA spree as I have a couple hundred left. Paid less that I thought today.
December 9, 2025 at 7:04 PM
I feel we have collectively handed S&WB their next excuse. 🤣
December 9, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Look, we don’t cancel classes for flurries. No, not even flurries of vultures.
December 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Depends. How many snow/hurricane days weee used? It’s kind of a flex day like that.
December 9, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Will the fire sale be sponsored by Draft Kings?

That rain tomorrow is going to make the air almost but not quite as damp as new Orleans winter air. Without that, it would be nice and crisp and nothing a hot tea or cider couldn’t fix right up.

I’m spitballing. Only thing I can think of. Normally they all get picked up at the corner my house sits on shortly after 7.

In HS the hill into my neighborhood was the decider for if schools in the county were open. Of the bus couldn’t get up it, no school. Not saying water got poured on it…

I haven’t been to New Bern in forever. We used to go to Holden Beach occasionally in college because on le of my friends had a relative with a house.

That thing shook in any storm.

Nobody goes to coastal North Carolina. It’s hours of backroads to get there even from nearby Hampton Roads.

I kinda miss those days, actually. I’m glad there is more to do and grocers are open now, but it was so quiet during the holidays when we started going there 25 years ago for new years.

My 2010 new beetle is staring at me through the window saying “see? My coolant leak in the inexpensive but hard to get too coolant manifold doesn’t seem so bad now, does it?”

🤣😂

I was in my first stint as a manager for the then 600 stores strong Starbucks when they released Mazagran. It was…interesting. It failed because people didn’t expect a coffee/spice/citrus soda. It is directly responsible for bottled Frappuccino, which I think is a greater crime. 😂

I will allow Andes even though I hate the mouthfeel of them.
