i don't know who needs to hear this but remember that labels are tools. their value is dependent strictly on their utility. they are descriptive, not prescriptive. labels are not immutable and if they lack function then you can disregard them.

Over 200 workers came together today to announce that we have majority support for a union of postdocs and research associates at Penn. Our colleagues, fellow union members, and community supporters, including Rep. Rick Krajewski, spoke about why we need a strong union now more than ever!
