Donyae Coles has an excellent way of writing that makes you feel as dizzy and drunk and disoriented as the main character in this beautiful gothic horror meets fairytale folk horror. A beautiful haunted mansion story with a twist. Highly recommend.

And it’s a shame especially with things like Bloodborne, which is already a very rich text. One doesn’t have to explain how it’s ‘actually about the economic crash of the 1980’s’ or whatever to have something meaty to chew on
