I’ve hated elon musk since 2010 and now all these johnny-come-latelies are crowding my scene.

I bet they can’t even name his first 3 pro-nazi takes.
To be perfectly clear, matt yglesias and ezra klein’s silicon valley handlers told them that they want more consumers and cheap labor, but they don’t want them to have the rights of American citizens.

“You will own nothing, and you will like it... You will also be stateless.”
Yglesias’s views can be summarized by the wisdom of Tyga: she provoking, shawty goin up and down the pole like she voting

Just to be clear:

We are NOT giving Israel OUR money to engage in genocide.

We are BORROWING money to give to Israel to engage in genocide.

Our kids and grandkids’ work and productivity will be paying the INTEREST on the loans we take out to fund Israel’s genocide.

So why the fuck can’t they

When global temperatures shot up by ~6°C about 56 million years ago, plants were unable to thrive

The reduced ability of vegetation & soils to capture & store carbon may have kept temperatures elevated for >100,000 years

Today Earth is warming ~10 times faster than it did 56 million years ago
56 million years ago, the Earth suddenly heated up – and many plants stopped working properly
It could be a sign of what’s to come.

Silicon Valley and Wall Street: “We need a billion workers and consumers. Go write something.”

Matty yglesias and ezra klein: “yes, sirs! Here are some poorly thought out books on the need for more ppl!”

SV: “We don’t want them to have any rights. Workers, not citizens.

Ezra Klein even like "well we can agree 'birth tourism' is a problem," and no, I cannot. My group texts are about sports and kids.
still poleaxed by the idea that you could oppose birthright citizenship and still think of yourself as a liberal in any sense of the term.

“Longstanding principle…” What‘s the point of a constitution if it just amounts to a “longstanding principle?” Why have laws if they can be arbitrarily ignored.

NPR has been in decline for 10+ yrs, but their recent attempts at winning over trump and the moron class are just sad.

PBS still rules.

The trump admin and israel have given the media an excuse to go back to their normal state of ambivalence.

The ethnic cleansing, population control, forced starvation, and genocide continue.

This isn’t a ceasefire. It’s the systematic culling of a population.
Israel continues to adhere to the ceasefire agreement by bombing Gaza some more

Trump allowed 17 members of the Sinaloa cartel into the US.

In May he commuted the 6x life sentences of the leader of the Gangster Disciples, most notorious drug trafficking & murderous street gang in the US.

Now Honduran drug trafficker Hernandez.

Is Trump setting up his own drug corridor?

One of the best Saturday Night Live sketches is “Toonces: the Cat who could drive a car” where a cat puppet drives a car off a cliff and that’s the beginning and end of the joke but they went with it for five years and it worked because really that’s all you need to do

The US is turning into Russia or Israel.

International law and the rules based world order gave us most of our riches. Now, we’re acting like a pariah state which has nothing to lose.

“Stupid” doesn’t even begin to explain it.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

Every single big tech LLM—llama, chatgpt, gemini, claude—is basically just 300 billion dollar worth of infrastructure and 500 gigawatts of energy to replicate Cliff from cheers.

And somehow, the entire global economy depends on Cliff Clavin becoming a god in the next 12 months.

I guess this is what “peace” means to Israel. Continual bombing of apartment buildings. I wonder if this is the kind of “peace” Russia is offering as well.
🚨Israel bombed a residential building in Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sun., killing at least 5 people & injuring 28, Lebanon’s health ministry says.

The strike hit the Haret Hreik area despite a year-old ceasefire. Netanyahu’s office claimed the target was Hezbollah chief of staff Haytham Ali...

I’ve been in a room with Putin. He calls Ukrainians “Russians with accents.” His real fear isn’t NATO expansion, it’s democracy expansion. It shatters his entire argument for dictatorship at home. Because if Ukrainians embrace freedom, Russians may demand the same.
