Having spoken to some friends I am learning that this sort of “oh hey this character is like X” comparisons is often rooted in appreciation and not as a way to call out an artist for being unoriginal.

I know you’re not trying to be mean, but it always bums me out to post a character I worked hard on and then be told how much it looks like some other existing media character.

Like, yes I get it, I know I’m not very original. But it still feels bad.

I think people reading on a phone will prefer vertical. And desktop folks would prefer horizontal but vertical will still be readable.

Depending on text size horizontal may be hard to read on mobile
