The internet isn’t the only place to surf. Non-work, semi-judgemental account. Powered by coffee. NY to SF
All I need is a dog. And a tree. 🤣

Pasta restaurant in SF 🤣
November 28, 2025 at 11:28 PM
But the restaurant has a nice view of Mission Bay.
November 27, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Huh. Not sure a waterfall in a Polynesia-theme hotel is tacky or appropriate for the venue. 😆
November 27, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Finally got a hardcopy of @juliaioffe.bsky.social ‘s book, Motherland, at one of my fav independent bookstores, @greenapplebooks.bsky.social
November 24, 2025 at 1:42 AM
And stopping by the obligatory gift shops for touristy presents.
November 24, 2025 at 12:38 AM
Ahh, didn’t realize my last post had someone’s face in it. Don’t usually include faces unless I ask that person…just cause. Anyway, stopped by Ghiradelli Square for milk/mint/peppermint/caramel/whatever chocolates. Becuase some relatives don’t like the dark caco.
November 24, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Speaking of chocolate, I probably need to get some. So many choices, so little time.
November 23, 2025 at 10:46 PM
Who are you and how do you know me? 🤣
November 23, 2025 at 10:30 PM
I’m intrigued. LoL.
November 23, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Yup. Stopping by one of my favorite shops, Bernal Cutlery. Getting the hard to find things that I need in the kitchen.
November 23, 2025 at 10:26 PM
Tis the season. Fuij apples from the farmers’ market: great taste, but doesn’t make a good pie filling. Aaaand, the last chile peppers of the season. I’m scared. Once burned, twice shy…maybe thrice burned 😆
November 16, 2025 at 9:19 PM
whoa. That packs a punch. It’s sour, sweet, & spicy.
November 14, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Learned something new, sweet limes. Milder taste than limes, almost like an orange, but more like a blood orange. I think the vendor called them Palestinian limes or something. Gonna try this in a fish or chicken dish.
November 8, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Argh. The struggle. And order on-line from independent bookstores or get in-person.

From the SF Chronicle, Prop 50 passed by about 65%.
November 5, 2025 at 5:03 AM
Working on my chicken trussing game…needs improvement, skin could be more golden-brown, not enough thyme & garlic, maybe a little over cooked in the wings & legs, but getting better.
November 3, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Anyway, driving down the 101 and stopped by Quail & Condor, James Beard nomination finalist & one of NYT’s best bakeries in the US, to check out their goods. Picked up a Rosemary Lingonberry Creme Brûlée Danish, fancy morning bun, regular croissant, & Dandelion Chocolate mocha.

I’m gonna play with fire tonight 😆
November 1, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Dried Ghost Chile. Don’t know if this is a dare or a promise. 😆🌶️🔥
October 25, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Seemingly apropos for the bloviating, bootlicking, “both sides”-isms. One party is in control, one party could stop this tonight, but one party chooses not to. And that party isn’t the Democrats, Dave.
October 24, 2025 at 5:15 AM
I still want to know WTF is a “state capacity guy”?
October 20, 2025 at 4:59 AM
Good thing about living in NorCal, wineries & eclectic cafes are in driving distance. Trying a lobster corn dog with caviar (smooshed because I was hungry & rushed to take out of box) & waygu beef skewers. And a dark chocolate cookie…whoops. Devoured that quick.
